GeoDAT- ETL do not require special knowledge of ETL-Logic, SQL language of specific database skills. All functionality and views can be easily accessed through menues. Accessed Databases are showes and functionality is context-sensitive (only pertinent functionality can be accessed).
GeoDAT - ETL offers the following funtionality.
Running ETL-Processes - Automatic
Execution of all possible ETL-Processes for every source system table upon selection of a source system.This includes extraction, transformation and load processes. This functionality is designed for normal production usage.
Running ETL-Processes - Manual
Upon selection of one or more source system tables and selction of one or more process steps, these steps are executed. This funtionality can be used for reruns i.e. correcting extraction errors or test during development or change of the application.

For any source system table, dimension, and fact table time of run, number of treated data and duration are shown. Errors that occured are documeted too.
Data display for selected process step (show data)
For testing purposes, you need to know what data have been processed in a single process step and what the outcome was. Click on the process step, select‚ show Data’. This will display on overview of all statstics data for this process step.
You do not need specific knowledge on which server, database or table the data are stored. Obviously you do not need specific SQL or database knowledge either.
